Meiogyne cylindrocarpa "Fingersop/Bush Apricot" Seeds
Meiogyne cylindrocarpa, commonly called fingersop, is an ornamental tree/shrub with a layered appearance. It belongs to the Annonaceae family and is native to Borneo, Java, the Marianas, New Guinea, Northern Territory, Philippines, Queensland, Vanuatu, and Western Australia.
In the Chamorro language, it is known as "paipai". The fruit of the tree is elongated and cylindrical, measuring 1-3 inches (2.5-7.6 centimeters) in length, and is green when unripe, turning red to orange when ripe.
It resembles a finger, hence the name "fingersop". The fruit has a sweet flavor with floral undertones, often compared to sapodilla.
The Holy Grail.
I've been searching for Duguetia marcgraviana for FAR too long, and supplies are extremely limited. Taste is similar to my favorite fruit, Duguetia stenantha; but with more of a cantaloupe flavor and unique sugar apple qualities.
