Pouteria ramiflora is a species of Pouteria, originating from the state of Acre. It bears fruit twice a year and is highly tolerant of cold temperatures. The mother plant from which we collected seeds was able to withstand temperatures as low as -2°C without any harm.
Some have described as the taste as a blend between an Abiu (Pouteria cainito) and an Avocado.
Pouteria ramiflora comes from the subtropical biome of Sao Paulo. Interested in seeing what other fruits are found there? Check out this must-have Chrysophyllum anomalum, or look at our whole collection!
