Duguetia spixiana Seedling
Duguetia spixiana is an exotic annona relative from South America, found in the Amazonas region of the Acre state of Brazil. Virtually unknown.
The species bears unique red-tinted fruits with a bright red and sweet flavored pulp. Little is known about its growth habits or climate requirements, except for its potential cold tolerance, suggesting it may be able to tolerate chill like Duguetia lanceolata and Duguetia salicifolia.
Duguetia spixiana comes from the tropics of the Amazon Jungle. Interested in seeing what other fruits are found there? Check out this rare chocolate relative Theobroma obovatum, or look at our whole collection!
